A HUNTER'S AND FISHERMAN'S PARADISE
| The lodge opens this season with its beautiful individual, private, log cabins newly refurbished and ready to provide the hunter and fisherman with a home base for outings in the area, enabling the guests to rough it in the wilds with all the comforts of home. For years this district has attracted Canadian and American sportsmen; affording trout fishing in the early Spring; and moose, deer, bear, partridge and ducks in the Autumn. Good fishing can be had in the Ottawa River just at the door of the Lodge, where the outflow from the channel creates an unsurpassed feeding ground for the fish. Nearby McConnell Lake, with miles of picturesque shoreline, Pennasault, Pender and numerous other lakes all have good trout fishing. When fishing from a boat in the Ottawa River, you can use either your Ontario or Québec license. Québec licenses are available at a nearby store. |
